Dienne Salotti, an Italian company and leader in the production of
sofa beds and transformable living solutions, was founded over twenty years ago, in 2000, born from the dream of Cecilia Nicoletti and Filippo Direnzo and their courage to bring it to life in their hometown, Altamura, in the province of Bari — a city recognized worldwide as the Capital of Upholstery. Dienne’s story is one of harmony between quality, beauty, and comfort — three values that now more than ever define the brand and its products. Its mission is rooted in the creation of 100% Made in Italy sofa beds and transformable furniture, ideal for contemporary and design-forward living spaces. From the very beginning, Dienne Salotti set out to redefine the classic concept of the sofa bed, traditionally associated with purely functional and practical needs, by transforming it into a design piece with sophisticated aesthetics, perfectly suited to modern and urban interiors — offering style, comfort, and uniqueness.
Dienne’s collections
Dienne’s collections include sofa beds, pull-out and bunk bed models, all distinguished by a contemporary design language that seamlessly integrates the company's core values of tradition, innovation, and sustainability. The goal is to challenge conventions and project the brand into the future of furniture design. Each Dienne sofa bed ensures maximum space optimization and a tailored solution for every kind of need.
Mechanisms are the true core of every sofa bed. Equipped with bayonet joints, they are easy to assemble and transport. Servo-assisted for ease of use, these mechanisms allow the sofas to convert into beds with great simplicity, ensuring full dual functionality. The efficiency and dynamic performance of these mechanisms are a guarantee of both quality and comfort, even in the transition from sofa to bed.
To this end, in collaboration with the inventive architect Giulio Manzoni, Dienne developed a unique mechanism called Fly. The Fly mechanism represents a functional and aesthetic evolution in sofa beds: thanks to the use of gas springs, it eliminates the need for bulky levers, allowing for a larger mattress without increasing the overall dimensions. The servo-assisted opening system ensures smooth and safe movements, while a safety lever prevents accidental closures. The result is a compact, silent, and reliable mechanism, combining practicality and maximum comfort in a clean, innovative design.
Always focused on innovation, Dienne introduced at Salone del Mobile 2025 the updated version of the Petra model, the first sofa to integrate a treadmill inside it: a revolutionary solution that combines physical and mental well-being, merging comfort, design, and movement into a single furnishing element.
Every single component of a Dienne sofa bed is designed to be 100% removable. Even the stitching, although conceptually simple, plays a key role and varies depending on the area in which it is applied.
Sustainability and energy savings
Dienne demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental protection, having adopted for years practices focused on sustainability and energy savings. Its internal production follows environmentally-conscious standards, with minimal use of printed paper in favor of digital tools, and the entire factory is powered by a photovoltaic system, significantly reducing emissions. As proof of this vision, the company has introduced its first models made with 100% recycled materials, such as the Green Club sofa bed, a tangible step toward increasingly responsible and sustainable design.
Dienne Salotti was born in Italy and began distributing its products nationally in 2000. Today, more than twenty years later, Dienne is present in major international markets, including Europe, the Middle East, and more recently, the United States.
