Nic was founded in 2002 by two designers driven by the same passion, who decided to join forces to give life to what was to become, in just a few years, a key player in the
Made-in-Italy bathroom furniture sector. The same year that Nic Design was founded, Stefano Morelli and Roberto Testale received the Design Plus Prize at the ISH in Frankfurt for the
Victoria shower tray. Right from their very first creations, the company's pursuit of breakthrough products, with collections of
washbasins and sanitary ware capable of leaving their mark and enhancing the ceramic material, was clear. Underlying the clean, linear style that today fully distinguishes the brand is a process of continuous research and constant improvement - synthesising an approach that places every object at the centre of their process, enhancing its link with material and its inner dimension. Furthermore, for this brand, Made-in-Italy values take on momentous meaning. On the one hand, they embody know-how in truly sophisticated design; on the other, they are part of a cultural context that rewards the crafting of raw materials.
Bathroom furniture according to Nic: essential geometries and pure volumes
The Nic catalogue includes objects characterised by strong personalities; they are bold and original in their simplicity but highlight the plasticity of the unique material that is ceramics. In the
Milk series, created by Ilaria Marelli, it is possible to find a kind of spontaneity that is quite rare in bathroom furnishings. The desired effect is refined simplicity, with lines recalling the immediacy and unstudied character of hand-made sketches, concealing a meticulous design resulting from long-standing experience in the bathroom furnishing sector. In particular, the
floor-standing Milk collection washbasins are totemic, primordial-inspired figures that reflect Nic's tendency to heighten the purity of ceramics.
Pure volumes and rigorous geometries characterise the
Ovvio collection. The
freestanding washbasin is a perfect cylinder, characterising space with energy and character. Pure forms also define the
Semplice washbasin, in the collection by the same name, a regular and powerful monolith whose absence of sharp edges gives it unexpected softness and harmony.
Trama 130, belonging to the collection designed by
Studio 63, won the Archiproducts Design Awards in 2021. It is a washbasin/console with a minimal and sophisticated design whose open structure supporting the apparently slender washbasin is made of the very resistant and durable solid Iroko wood - a highly stable and non-porous material suitable for humid environments.

Pool, available in a Maxi version, is a rectangular Corian bathtub with a reduced profile that gives it an appearance of extreme lightness and formal purity.
Tub is a very small square bathtub - a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional bathtub.
Solo is a washbasin, bidet, bathtub and shower
tapware line designed by Nic, available in various versions - wall-mounted, surface-mounted or floor-standing. The collection is characterised by a clean, linear design.
