The history of ZegoTech: responsible innovation and local production
The history of ZegoTech began with the initiative of Jacob Olsen and Henrik Brammer, two childhood friends with experience in the professional coffee machine sector. Observing the growing spread of water distribution systems based on large plastic containers, the founders identified an opportunity to develop a solution that was more integrated, efficient, and consistent with the principles of Scandinavian design. This insight led to the creation in 2005 of the company’s first drinking water dispensing system integrated into kitchen spaces and working environments. From the very beginning, the company built its identity around principles of environmental and social responsibility. Production prioritizes local and European suppliers, while product development follows the “Buy2Keep” principle, a model that promotes the creation of products designed to last over time and to be repaired rather than replaced.
